The purpose of this website is to present a vision for making the former City Farm and Riverview Park into an area that offers EVERYONE - Newport News residents, businesses, boaters, beachgoers, sports and outdoor enthusiasts - a place to enjoy for years to come.

This website takes the initiative and starts the dialog regarding the future of this property. The people in charge of making these decisions are the Newport News City Council, the Newport News Planning Commission and the city staff. These people will be looking for public input and this web site and its comment section may play a role in this process.

This website presents a multitude of ideas that focuses on bringing in various recreational, dining, educational, and historical ideas as well as - yes - even limited development of high-end condominiums in the mix that also satisfy the desire to generate tax revenues for the city.
